Christmas Teeth!

If it's not one thing it's the next. Ruby has two new teeth on the bottom, but not without any drama, of course. The molar on the left hand side came up like a huge blood blister about a week ago and with all the pressure from the tooth underneath final opened up on Tuesday. It looked like a volcano in her mouth. By Wednesday the fluid had drained out and all the remaining skin is now flapping around her tooth. It looks soooo very sore. We've been told to keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get infected - that will be the next thing!

Now that the pain she was getting from the blood blister and the tooth has gone Ruby is much happier. She was rather grumpy and looking quite ill for a few days over the weekend. Sorry to my girlfriends who came over for Christmas lunch on Sunday - Ruby was not in the best of moods.

Ruby has developed her own language this week. Grandpa says that she sounds german but it is more like alien. It sounds a lot like she is saying "glidey glidey or dwadley dwadley" with a few other noises between. And doesn't she have a lot to tell you.

We've had another attempt at seeing Santa this morning. This time with cousin Isabelle. Still no go. Ruby didn't even make it past the lady taking the photo before crying. She did calm down enough to stare at santa a while but was more impressed with the reindeer ears he was giving away. There's a lovely photo of mummy and aunty Emma with Santa to add to the collection.

The girls also had a Christmas Music class this morning. This was heaps of fun and Ruby absolutely loved it. I definitely think we are going to have to go back to music classes in the New Year. They played (and climbed) on drums while we sang drummer boy, shook bells for jingle bells, danced with scarves and danced and danced. There were a few slow songs where you are suppose to just rock and cuddle (Silent Night) but Ruby was more interested in crawling across the floor singing - very loudly - at the other kids.

She is so knacked after this morning expedition that she has been asleep ever since we left the carpark at music - 2 and a half hours ago - definitely going back next year!
