ABBA ????

Lots of news this week. It's just as the nurse said, once Ruby stops worrying about her teeth she will just take off in her development.

Earlier in the week, Ruby started grabbing her toes while laying on the floor, sitting in her jeep and anywhere really. She looks like a contortionist when she manages to get her toe in her mouth. Daddy has a great story about an incident on the change table.

And then Ruby said her first word, 'bubba'. She started off saying 'Ah ba' over and over and Daddy thought she was saying ABBA with a swedish accent. Mummy managed to record this on her mobile and will try to work out how to post it to the blog. Then it turned in to 'bubba'. It's a random thing, she says it when she wants to and will not be coaxed by anyone to say it on que.

Mummy and daddy now have to think about Ruby proofing the house. Yes, she is mobile. She has been trying so hard to get off and going for the last few days. She has been doing two crawls and then launching herself at the toy she wanted, then on Sunday she had to go just that little bit further and did four crawls and then launched. This morning she followed mummy to the front door. It's like watching a turtle trying to get across the room - very slow - but she got there. And doesn't she love it when you cheer her on. There is no footage of this yet, but as soon as we get something decent it will be posted. Mummy and Daddy's little fairy in action:

Ruby has been having 3 x 200 gram meals a day for a couple of weeks now and is still only putting on 100 grams at her weekly weigh in, not that she's turned into a skinny minny, she's still our little muffin. She loves her food and nearly jumps out of the high chair when she sees her bowl coming with the food. Oh and the tears if mummy doesn't go fast enough. This last week Ruby has tried yogurt, corn, cauliflower, avocado and loved all of it.

Ruby managed to pick up a bug from somewhere this week, she is all snotty and dribbly, not very nice. She has also managed to pass it on to mummy and daddy. Hopefully, it will pass as quickly as it came, but a warning to all, don't come near us, we are all miserable!
