Xmas at Mt Cotton
After initially fearing the fact that 15 members of my family - who are used to spending the day at the beach - would over run my house, the day turned out perfect. Due to my size, my beautiful mother, aunty and grandma didn't let me lift a finger :) The only notable low point was Jamie's new remote control car that didn't work.

It's been a big year....
The doctors at the hospital were joking with me this week and saying that we might have a Christmas baby, but baby and I have an agreement that any time after January 7th (the ETA) will be wonderful.
The main reason behind the blog is to keep everyone updated on what is happening with my growing belly and then to post all of the beautiful events of my new little treasures life....enjoy!
The following is a brief recap of the big events of 2007 (these are on top of all the doctors appts, hospital visits, classes and usual daily events that take place while one is pregnant - yep this year has been huge):
March 2007 - 2 weeks, 2 islands, 2 cars and 2 tired Aussie do NZ
Roger and I literally felt like we were part of "The Race Around the World" as I stupidly organised for us to do both Islands in NZ in two very short weeks - 12 days to be precise. We had a great time and saw lots of amazing things. We would definitely go back but next time do at least 3 weeks in just the Sth Island.
Highlights were the helicopter ride and hiking on the Fox Glacier, caving in Waitomo Glowworm Caves, overnight cruise on Milford Sound, staying at the World Heritage Listed Lake Moeraki Lodge and the night spent in the Sofitel in Queenstown (ooh la la).
May 2007 - 5 Poms, 2 Aussies, 1 week in a very big house at Noosa
Roger's cousin Debra came out to Oz with her family, for 3 weeks and invited Roger and I to stay with them for the week they stayed at Noosa (god love them). We had the best time in the biggest house over looking the Noosa River. Paul and Roger went fishing on the pontoon every morning and we all went to the beach everyday for a swim in the ocean - yes, even Derek. Phoebe and Jake also swam in the ice cold pool - shivering their way to insanity.
July 2007 - Camping Marais Style
Roger and I were invited (along with the girls from AAA) to spend Porsha's 21st B'day camping on Moreton with her family. Although it was the coldest day and night in history, we had the best time - boating, eating, watching movies and playing singstar all on the beach front at Moreton. Check out the photos from the weekend on Porsha's site
10th August 2007 - Baby's first photo
Now this was amazing.
We didn't tell anybody we were going for a scan - just incase something was found. But everything was perfect. At the time I still wasn't showing and to see a little person inside my belly was very overwhelming. We didn't find out baby's sex (to the dismay of all baby's Grandmas) and decided to keep it a surprise until baby's birthday.
September 2007 - Babymoon at Kingscliff
Roger and I had 5 days at the beach (Kingscliff), I was calling it our babymoon, Roger was calling it fishing. He had just recently sold his rifle and had purchased a new canoe with the money. We spent most mornings fishing in the Tweed River or Cudgen Creek and then spent the rest of the day swimming, sleeping, reading or eating. The weather was perfect and we had a great time.
November 2007 - Baby Shower
One of my favourite girls in the whole wide world organised the best baby shower ever for me - right down to the specially designed invites and music for the day (remember this name ladies and gentleman "Porsha Marais", this girl is going places). Baby got lots of great pressies and (I think) everybody had a great time - well I did, and I guess that is all that matters :) Photos of the day are on Porsha's site.
28th November 2007 - Big Cousin Arrives
The long awaited arrival of baby's cousin, Isabelle Lily McPherson came on the 28th of November at 4:30am. Aunty Emma breezed through labour and the whole family are doing really well. Isabelle is sooo very cute, she has lots of hair and lots of wind - she gets that from her dad. I'm still undecided on who she looks like. I can see Emma all over her but Grandma (my mum) swears black and blue that she is looking more and more like Jamie as she gets older. Either way, she is sooo cute!
