Daddy's Girl
Her hair is going curly, she is obsessive about having clean hands and face (I think this one comes from Grandma Sheila) and she now runs around the house chasing flies with the fly swat.
Apart from this our little girl is now the biggest chatter box. She will yammer on for most of the day and if you aren't listening she gets louder and louder and louder. Her vocabulary is getting better and better everyday and Ruby is now talking in small sentences - "Eat dinner outside mumma" or the latest "Need that" or "it's stuck" or "Ruby help mumma with dinner". Yes, dinner is still a major part of Ruby's day.
And Ruby's most favourite thing to do at the moment (apart from eating or reading) is to ride her little car around the house at ridiculous speeds, chatting to herself and anyone who will listen at the same time.

Pony's
So many things are happening with Ruby at the moment that I'm worried I will forget to post something. But the most important thing over the last few days is that Ruby is letting us put her hair up...hooray! Some days we will have one pony like mum and dad and other days we can have two pony's like Isabelle, who has been wearing her hair up since she was very young. Ruby finally looks like somebody loves her.Ruby's last two teeth are final through and we are now working on weaning completely from mum. Ruby doesn't need it but has fallen into a habit of having boob before bed whenever mummy is home. Mummy has been "going to work" a fair amount the last few days so that Ruby will go to bed without looking for the boob. Boob free for 36 hours - not that we are counting.
Ruby's favourite word at the moment "kookaburra". She is also coping a lot of what you say to her. While playing on the swings mummy was sitting on the baby swing and told Ruby that she was too fat to do the seat belt up. Now Ruby says "mumma fat". Her favourite saying "help mumma with dinner".
Ruby has a large respect for food and sometimes we think she has an eating disorder. She is constantly eating or looking for food. She is happiest when she has a food item in her hands, not necessarily to eat but just to play with or hold. If she ends up looking like a sumo you will know why.
